Arts District Jewelry Store And Watercolor Artist Present Long Beach Soul Now And Then

Long Beach, CA - Deviant Design Group (DDG) owner, Mark Barata, and Long Beach watercolor artist, Debbie Lewis, have teamed up to present “Long Beach Soul: Now and Then” on April 14 at DDG’s new flagship store in downtown Long Beach’s Arts District. From 8-11 pm, they will celebrate all that is best about Long Beach by presenting new Long Beach-themed jewelry, as well as a new painting which contains 10 Long Beach icons from the past and present. The public are cordially invited.

The evening will include a ribbon-cutting event and champagne toast, a silent auction for the new painting and new jewelry piece, as well as a raffle for a print of the painting.

Ms. Lewis has been painting Long Beach scenes for the past 3 years, concentrating on historic buildings, including the Villa Riviera, Queen Mary and historic homes, and will have many of her original works, as well as prints, on display and available for purchase.

Watercolor Exhibit Scheduled For El Dorado Nature Center

Long Beach, CA - Long Beach, CA – A month-long watercolor exhibit, "It's the Nature of Things", containing the original works of Long Beach resident, Debbie Lewis, has been scheduled at the El Dorado Nature Center for June, 2010.

The artist’s reception will be held on Saturday, June 5 from 1-3 PM. The exhibit will include Ms. Lewis’ nature-themed art, including florals, animals and landscapes.

“I am excited to have my show shortly after the re-opening of the newly restored streams. That means all my visitors can also enjoy walking the trails adjacent to the stream that were closed during construction,” Ms. Lewis said. http://www.longbeach.gov/civica/press/display.asp?layout=4&entry=2828
